i grew peppers and aubergines on my plot for the first time this year.  i covered them with a really large cloche, and they did really well (and i live in the high peak)!!!  will definately be doing again this year!
It'll be better next year

That's it !  I'm giving up my allotments and going back to restoring antique Scotsmen  .... there's just no respect for highly intelligent, good looking weirdos on this website anymore  ... i´ve found over  decades of aubergine-growing: they are a lot easier to grow than tomatoes and never get diseased. i just don´t like them very much.
same goes for peppers and chillies.
