Furious as hell.....
« on: May 08, 2006, 13:42:24 »
...because it rained all morning whilst I was on the plot and I got SOAKED through.  Even my underwear was wringing wet!  Course, came home at lunch time and as I rounded the corner, the sun came out.  Oh well, I came home and sowed more squashes, sunflowers, tomatos, chillis and peas!

However, before fleeing from the flooding allotment I took a few snaps.  There will be more on my blog later when I update.

- strawbs covered in flowers!
- my first artichoke of the year - yum!
- lots of apple blossom so hoping for a good harvest.
- carrots are up!

EJ, I like the look of that artichoke! I've sown some this year, so will hopefully have a harvest next year!

Did you notice you have 8000 posts :o :o  :o ?

The artichoke looks good :) I have two from last year, one in the garden that is looking unhappy (don't think it gets enough sun) and the other at the allotment which OH managed to chop down to ground level with the strimmer. Carrot seedlings are great to see come through, and no weeds!

The same thing happened to me yesterday evening.  Said to OH "just popping to the plot to drop the canes etc off"  rain clouds had been gathering all day, but it had just started to brighten up.  5 mins into the journey, the heavens opened.  I spent 15 mins in the car - totally inappropriate clothes for the weather, T shirt and flip flops ???

As I type (quickly, need to do school run) I can see the rain clouds gathering, no doubt just in time for the school bell ;D

EJ - everything looks great

I was poorly at the back end of last week and over the weekend Lorna, back to normal on Monday, when I could have ruined it all by getting abso-bloody-lutely soaked to the skin!

Marianne,

Many members of the website have leave, and return with different identities, some very publicly.

It is one of the nice, and one of the dangerous things about the internet, the relative anonymity offered.  I'm sure you have been contacted by members of the site by now to let you know your answer.

If I was in a less kind mood, I would wonder about your use of bold.

Cheers

Dan

Sorry Dan, Mary, Carol, Tim and Greenwizzard.  I am not sure what is/has happened ??

My box says it has 120 messages, zero of which are new.  ???  Do I need to remove old messages to read new ones ??  Sorry for not understanding.

I will delete some old messages and hopefuly yours you sent me will be there  ???

Regarding Curry, I thought he looked like a member whose name was Derek the fox, but maybe he is not.  Sorry for any inconvenience my question has caused.  I did not mean to cause offence.

Hope everyone is OK and very busy gardening at this time of the year.  I am still very happy on the boat and all is well.
Bye bye and love to all of you XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   :D ;D

Hi Lorna,

Yes all is well and I have some photos which I will try and download soon.
Unfortunately, we have no PC on the boat - think I can get a "wireless laptop" which picks up system from satellites but I need to look into it.
Have a lovely day Lorna.   :D :)
