Can't believe it'll work, but here goes!!

100 year old, 40' Bramley succumbed to Honey Fungus - fell across back door at night preventing exit to work in the morning dark - can't live without shade - grit teeth - lotsamoney - Norway Maple - buy big - and the rest is why we chose it.

Any complaints, please let me know!!

Made a lovely slide show Tim!  A stunning specimen indeed.  How long ago was it planted?

Glad it worked. 9 years ago, Emma. But it grew very quickly to a useful size.

For the money conscious - £460  (at 18') + £30 delivery + £50 underground guying, rather than staking.

But still WELL worth it!

Wow, a lot of money 9 years ago!  Dread to think what a tree of that stature would cost now.  However, a good investment as it looks fab and obviously does the job.

This is the latest stage - when the lawn is covered with seed pods.

The final stage will be the colouring leaves.
