This is all very exciting. As some of you know Dad has been developing a Pink. It has now been officially named and Whetman Nurseries:
http://www.whetman.co.uk/index.html?target=dept_12.html&lang=en-gb
Are about to develop the parent stock for market trials next year!!
Here she is, named after my Mum.
I have a dozen plants on Plot 2 that I have been bringing on so the nursery see how it goes on heavy soil.
:-)

Pinks are my favourite flower, and that one's a stunner 8) Is it very fragrant, Jerry?

Don't really do flowers, but think I may have just been converted! Gorgeous! What an honour to have a flower named after you. The family must be very proud

Don't really do flowers,
SNAP! "My fave flower" = the only one I would bother to grow. ::)
That is a seriously nice pink, tho, & if it had to intense perfume I associate with pinks, I'd buy it. Need any more triallers, Jerry? ;)

Thanks all.
We are all chuffed, especially mum.
It might take a while to get to market but fingers crossed!
And yes, nicely scented but not too much!

Congratulations to your Dad, Jerry. I love pinks and the more varieties the better. I can imagine how proud your Mum must feel too, having such a beautiful flower named after her. It's really lovely. ;D ;D
