My dad took this photo yesterday - he's a fabulous photographer and loves birds (feathered and otherwise  ;) )

It's a baby tawny owl that he found in the 'secret wood' that he's in charge of.

The owl had tumbled out of the nest so he put it back in the tree.

I told him to send it to Springwatch but he said he doesn't like Bill Oddie.

He's a miserable git - but I love him all the same.

Great pic.

Tawny Owls leave the nest and continue to be fed by the parents, found this out on Springwatch this week.  They are following Tawny Owls and Barn Owls.

It's a TV programme Jeannine! A few experts on the programme show what's happening with wild-life in Spring.
