Tomato / Runner Bean Seed - Free to a Good Home
« on: April 25, 2007, 09:51:30 »
Last evening, we had our Annual Garden Club Seed Swap  ... we have +/- 60 members, mostly 'wrinklies' (some even more 'mature' than myself   ;) ;D)

Each year I make up packets of Seeds for the swap night, quite a few seeds are donated by A4A members, for which, once again, many thanks.

I have the following 'remainders' which are offered free, but would ask that you send me stamps to cover the postage of the seeds to you.

If interested please send me a PM, first come first served  ... also please post on A4A your interest and which variety you would like.

Tomato in packets of 10 seeds:

Marmande        4 packets
Black Plum        2
Gardener's Delight   3
Grosse Lisse    4

Runner Bean in packets of 10 seeds:

White Lady      5 packets
Red Rum          4
Scarlet Emperor   1

Also have some Peas and various French Bean, climbing and dwarf, and a few Flowers. Will list these in a few days time to avoid any 'rush'  ;)

Cheers
Mikey

Sorry Folks,

Black Plum Toms all gone

I will have a rummage through my Seed Bank (kept separate so I do not sow or swap everything  ;D) maybe have a few more seeds.

I saved quite a lot last Autumn because we had a very heavy crop of Black Plum, which is one of our favourites.

Mikey, your Grosse Lisse (my rough translation = Fat Lizzie which, for reasons known only to myself ::) amuses me....).....can you tell me more about her habits? And could you put her on a diet & split the pack of 10? And will they keep til next year for sowing then?

Ahhh.....so many questions....

Good evening "Leek Lady",
I cannot find the original packet, pretty sure it was an Australian seed merchant called Hortico.

Seeds were given to me by a friend, quite a big fruit which did not interest me (the Tomato not the friend  ;).
Have never grown it myself, but did germinate 10 seeds to see if they were o.k. 7 germinated (then oi binned e'm)
should be good for at least another year ??

for info try:

http://www.tomato.com.au/pages/varieties.html

I have put a packet aside for you, if you wish to take delivery (without living protein) send PM
