sweetcorn problems

can sweetcorn live without the kernel..mice have dug up and eaten 4 of my plants, left the top part and roots but eaten what is left of the kernel..do i have to start again, this was the last of the seed I had  :(

If you send me a SAE then I'll send you some of my "open pollinated" seed from last year.
