Jew's Mallow is a vegetable from the mallow family and related to ocra.  It is grown from seeds and needs some warmth and sunshine, hence I start them in June or July.  This year I put the seeds in my growbags this month, since it has been warm and sunny.  The leaves are eaten and the usual way of cooking them is by cutting them into small pieces by a rocking knife.  The smashed pieces are stired into a broth of chicken or rabbit at the right consistency (not too thin or thick) and boiled not more than once or it will sink.  Lift from the fire and sir into it a prepared fried crashed garlic and dried corinder.  It is usually eaten with bread or rice. It is delicious. Bon appetit
I get the seeds from abroad, if you wish I can get you some next year.

I only know Jew's Mallow as Kerria japonica  :-\ sounds good though

I wouldn't reccommend eating Kerria Japonica the leaves contain hydrogen cyanide which is thought to be good for you in small quantities but too much can be fatal.
There are several plants called Jew's Mallow I believe the one being described is Corchorus Olitorius & is also known as Red Jute, Tossa Jute, Tussa Jute, Molokhiya, Meetha (Sweet), Nalta, Nalita, Bush Okra, West African Sorrel & numerous other names I can't remember.

The only company I know that supplies seeds is based in the US.

Hello B man

The link you provided sounds the right vegetable.  The name given Melokhiya is the same name used in Egypt. It is a healthy vegetable and tasty.  Believe me!!
Of course it is much cheaper in Egypt than the price mentioned in the link.
