Hello all !
I got my half plot last month (only had to wait about 4 months), and was terrified when I first went to see it as it on a very steep slope (more like the side of Mount Everest!!). It was very overgrown but we could roughly see some terraces already cut in. Decided to clear the top terrace first and get a shed coz it wasn't funny carrying the tools to and fro. The weekend we put the shed up it rained - oh hang on its rained constantly since we got the plot- and the children had to shelter under a tarpaulin, 8 year old not impressed, 2 year old thought it was a blast!!!
Have cleared the next two terraces and covered with tarps - only one more to go. It hasn't been as bad as we first thought. The OH is very good at wielding a mattock and we are just stripping the top off and stacking it having strimmed it first. Hopefully will clear the last terrace 2morrow and start the root removal. Just want to say what a great site A4A is - have spent many an hour giggling away!
