Will my carrots still grow?
« on: October 30, 2008, 00:17:04 »
When I was home at the end of August I sowed some Autumn King 2 carrots in a large container in my greenhouse.  They were doing really well apparently.  My wife moved the rabbit hutch inside the greenhouse for god knows what reason,  and today they escaped from the hutch and helped themselves to my green carrot tops.  Will the carrots continue to grow without the green tops.

(Her reply was - "Stop moaning about it,  I'll get you a bag of carrots from Morrisons tomorrow."   I think she should now move into the greenhouse for when I next phone home. 8) 8))

Two answers...
Firstly
Your carrots may recover. Unless you have other plans for the space you might as well leave them in and see what happens. Its surprising how some plants will recover from a mass grazing, brassicas this year for example with the cabbage white....
Secondly

Rabbit stew.

I agree rabbit stew ;D

Seriously though, you may as well leave the carrots as they are as Whoppa says, they may recover. Hope so ;)
