squash leave going yellow
« on: July 09, 2012, 21:04:57 »
My pumpkin leaves are going yellow - those that have survived the onslaught of slugs that is.  Does anyone know the cause oand/or cure for this please.  Thanks in advance.

I am not a pumpkin or squash grower but i have had to look after some for a friend so i would take it that most plants have the same reaction when starved of Nitrogen or Magnesium

Lack of nitrogen if all the leaves young and old have turned yellow

Lack of magnesium if the younger leaves are turning yellow between the veins.

Hope this helps

I have one courgette where the leaves are looking very sick.  Perhaps cucumber mosaic virus.
I remember one year many years ago before they bred resistant types finding every courgette plant except one dieing.
