Hi peeps - I have bought a packet of Presto winter onion sets from poundstretcher for £1.49.. good price. I have never heard of them before and cant find any on tinternet!! Has anyone grown or heard of them before?

I've planted them in modules so they can start off quickly in the GH then I'll plant them out in a month when ready only my raspberries are chopped down which will allow sunlight into the area behind them where they will be planted out..

I use my wintered onions as "green onions" as a filler gap before the maincrop are ready to use as greens and always start to pull them on 1st May each year.. well that was when I was growing on my roof-top garden so maybe earlier at the plot.. Time will tell as this will be the first time with the winter sets in the ground - wish me luck.. I'll keep you posted..
