Is that the gap in the middle??
The only thing I can say in defence of the Collared Dove (pretty, yes - but too too noisy!)is that they sometimes put 'townies' (duck!!) off buying up second houses in our villages.

At least I can depend on the Collared Doves visiting me. I can't say I have ever heard the CD's in full voice so cannot complain about them.

They start at first light & go on & on & on & on ........ till last light - calling across the village to each other - sometimes quite frenetic!

We must be lucky then because they roost at the foot of the road and just fly up to me for a feed and to be attacked by the Sparrowhawk. I do hear the woodpigeons on roofs but not enough to wake me up ::) ::) ::)
