Yesterday we got ur first egg of 2012, in fact the first egg since the end of August. I was so ridiculously pleased with it that I took a picture.

Are your hens bantams by any chance? We have 4 of the blighters & they stop laying in August & start again in February ;D.

@GrannyJanny No, they're large pure breed fowl - Ixworths. We were warned that they'd take a winter break!
@Pumpkinlover I wanted my wife to have it; she wanted me to eat it. So we'll wait for the second one, then have one each. :)
