......... my onions  8)

The tops have been going brown for 2 weeks now since falling over and with rain finally threatening I decided to pull them up.

There are not very big, which I put down to poor soil, lack of compost etc, but all 20 that went in came out clean and healthy.

most will disappear into a curry tomorrow.

More cucmbers and courgettes and the first signs of a ripening tomato.

Just excellent Dicky, I wish you well with the rest of your produce!

Nice tomatoes Dicky.  I have a mental note to put some out next year - it never even crossed my mind this one!

Used about a third on the curry, lovely they were too, really made your eyes water when u peeled them   :'(

Normal sized toms are money maker, piling o nthe feed now 2-3 times a week, they are loving it

The little ones are gardeners delight.

Winds getting up again and they are very difficult to push closer to the fence to protect hem now, very top heavy. still greenhouse next year

Lovely onions!  I do find home grown onions make my eyes water more than shop bought....I put that down to the freshness.

Thought I smelt curry on the air.....

I figure the taste is just more concentrated because we don't irrigate like the commercial growers do.

My first onion pullings have sent me scurrying to find Sir and beg him to peel them for me!

I find rinsing my hands frequently under the cold tap does the trick.
