What's this bulb?

I don't know what this is, but it flowers enthusiastically in May, and is about 2 feet high.

Palustris

Tis a Camassia, probably leichtlinii, but could cuisickii, but maybe a bit tall for esculenta. It is an American  bulb.
Gardening is the great leveller.
