I think this may have been discussed before - but any advice on reliable weather website.

I have to say that I find the BBC one a touch unreliable!  :o

I think they are all unreliable and have found the Beeb to be the best of the crop as they appear to look out the window more than others and change the forecast throughout the day. ;D

Yes - all done before - like http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/yabbse/index.php/topic,9541.0.html & others.

If the admitted accuracy of a 48hr  forecast is 50%, wouldn't it be better to DIY??

Still the most reliable I've found is Metcheck

www.metcheck.com also does a good free gardeners' forecast which gives the temparature at soil level and levels of evaporation etc.

I use the met office and uk.weather.com, and then look out of the window.  :D

Down ere in Zomerset we relies on our seaweed and the colour of our Cider ;D and of course Metcheck ;)

Don't want to depress you, BUT!!

"Time is, however, running out for Summer as the days shorten rapidly (we're losing about 3 minutes a day) and if this scenario continues, then today *could* be the last of Summer 2005"  (Metcheck)

So GET MOVING!!

Depressed  :( :'(

Good point about the DIY weather forcasting. I have looked into that before but never really went into it in a big way. I have never tried that metcheck so thanks for that I will give it a trial to see how good they are! I like the weather because it is very important in gardening.

Not very good, looking at today's forcast.  Looked at my area for today and it is only supposed to be 16 degrees, while outside it is roasting and must be at least 20 degrees.
