I've been doing my back garden. I wanted to install a solar fountain so while I was digging up the bed I set it up on the table in the last of the sunlight to check if it worked. So what did I then do? ***dy knocked the solar panel off and smashed it!    :-[

Nearly a ton down the drain and a wasted afternoon.

oh dear.
if you bought it on credit card, check whether you have accidental damage cover. Barclaycard certainly does.

If it makes you feel any better Anna, I have spent 4 days making a pinyata for our halloween party. (paper mache, round balloon, fill with sweets, kids bash it and collect the goodies) well picked it up this evening to put it for its final dry in the airing cupboard, and it collapsed on me! Probably like you I could have cried! So have re inserted another balloon, patched it up and hoping for the best.
Hope you can get re imbursed for yours!  DP

Bad Luck Anna!  Horrible and infuriating when you have one of those days. Commiserations!  busy_lizzie

I bought it months ago (but then had to remove a hedge before I could set it up, so...) so no chance of reimbursement.

I suppose now the only thing is I'll have a spare filter/pump as I'm going to have to buy a new one.

Hi Anna
If you still have the box ring or write to ask if you can get a replace ment solar pannel?
Or go to the shop you bought it from and explaine to them what happened they may be able to help with an address or telephone number for a replacement pannel.
You cannot be the only one this has happened to try and get a spare part before buying a new one.
