Hello allotmenteers one and all!

As I haven't been at work for the last couple of weeks and had no intention of turning the computer on at home, may I be the very last to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2006  ;D ;D ;D

Hope you all had a good time over the festive period - personally I can't wait to get back to the lottie and get cracking! Didn't get there at all over Xmas and New Year due to weather or relatives, so am feeling very deprived at the moment :'( And I've got a new wheelbarrow to play with...

Cheers,
Rob ;)

You're not the only one who had a barrow from Santa.  Loads of us did (tis sad)  Mine is a bog standard tinny job with a squeaky wheel.  Oh well.  I've been to my plot (couldn't keep away) but it's too wet to do anything worthwhile except prod me compost.  Garlic looking good though.  Even my late carrots look dead  healthy, very small still but they might come good.  Good to get out into the fresh air.  I walked to the plot, pushing my new squeaky barrow all the way  :)
Not turned your pc on all over Christmas!  It's been like WWIII on here and we've all been disciplined by Dan and put on special measures to keep us in line and on topic.  if you go off topic an alarm goes off at Dan's.  See Thread Discipline.  We thought you'd got left behind after the panto.  Aiken has not been seen since the after-panto party and the search parties are out looking for him.  It's his birthday today but even that's not bought him back  :-\
I came, I saw, I composted

S'not sad getting a barrow - it's great!  ;D (or is that  :-[) Saves me lugging a big plastic trug full of rubbish all the time - now I can push it with ease!

As I spend most of the day at work in front of a computer, I try not to do the same when I'm at home! I saw there'd been a bit of a palaver here, but when I logged on this morning there were 20 pages of unread stuff, so I didn't go through all of it... anyhoo, it's all sorted now, yes? Hope so anyway, would hate this place to start getting arsey :'(

Cheers,
Rob ;)

Well we hope it is all quiet now Rob, (looking over my shoulder and keeping my head down) I think Dan got a bit fed up with whatever what going on. Anyway, hope you are eager to garden, cos it all starts to happen very quickly now ...

Hi DtF, can't wait to get started! Have spent the last couple of weeks desperate to get out and do something... the ground's been either too wet or too frozen, it's too early to sow any seeds (my favourite bit), so I've been doing lots of armchair gardening with seed catalogues and gardening books, accompanied by a glass or two of wine and the new Kate bush cd!

Cheers,
Rob ;)
