Too many cockerals!

perhaps I'll wash only before use then. we get quite a few that are clean so those can be the ones I use for selling and giving away. we tend to use our eggs up very quickly, they're never older than just a few days, so I don't refrigerate them.

Another thing I've not been too sure about...how long do eggs keep for?  I use mine up pretty quickly but I have been wondering just how long before an egg would be off ?

I have found a site which states how long eggs should be kept for and answers your previous question on whether or not they should be refrigerated.  It is at:

I have eaten eggs 4 weeks old or more and apart from the white becoming more runny, they have been all right.  I do normally keep mine refrigerated, especially during the summer months.

Thanks for that link Pauline, I too was wondering how long they keep for but like Heldi we use ours pretty quickly too.
