Does anyone know of any good tricks, such as only allowing 1 truss per plant, pinching out everything else to get a crop much earlier.

Flowerdew suggests that one could make do with only ONE plant :o

What you pinch out if potted on will make plants.  The shoots grow on and develop quicker than in the usual way, because it is already a  truss  ???  ;D  ;)
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and time to die: a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.     Ecclesiastes, 3:1-2

Flowerdew is right.  I've been doing that for a few years now and the shoots that I pinch out tend to grow sturdier than the original plant.  In effect, you only need to sow one seed of each variety to get all the plants you require.

To get   some tommies earlier sow a few outdoor  type  tomatoes but grow them in the greenhouse ..They will ripen quite a bit earlier than Your cordon type greenhouse tomatoes.. Jim
