inspired by sarah raven on GW, im looking for a good self fertile black cherry, on a fairly small rootstock.

I picked up one off the programme "black glory", and another ive seen is "sunburst".

Any suggestions, i will consider all forms of tree shape. im not sure where to put it yet !

Can't help with black cherries, Ricardo, but Ido have sweet cherry Stella which is self fertile on a dwarf root stock and this has cropped really well in the few years I've had it.  Altho I don't think it was intended for training as a fan that is what I have done with it on a very sunny wall/wire fence.  Good luck anyway and I'm sure someone will know be growing back cherries.
Equality isn't everyone being the same, equality is recognising that being different is normal.

Prunus cerasus 'Morello' on Colt rootstock is a self fertile black cooking cherry that I have bought recently from Buckingham Nurseries.

Picked up an 'end of season bargain' at a fruit nusery near me today - a 2 year old already fan-trained Morello on dwarfing Colt rootstock - for just £10   :o   ;D ;D ;D
I too saw the Sarah Raven prog last night - inspiring stuff
