this was the suggestion put forward by an official on a birmingham site on the allotment special tv programme to get rid of a rogue plant growing on a site  ;D 

well, it put a smile on my face and I'm sure it would have his as well if he had done that.

Jelly made me smile too! When we lived overseas, the customs officers used to burn "weed" with tyres, to stop half the population stopping by for a freebie!!! THAT used to make me smile in one way, but worry about what it was doing to the planet in another :-\
