Yes DD Scotland is actually quite splendid. Something we forget when we have travesties like the Scottish Parliament building. new thread maybe?

when i was in london at the weekend, my mum actually gave me a book with various "walks" in scotland, some of which are on my doorstep.  when i can drag myself away from the plot, i have promised myself to do one this summer.

Yes Anne, start another thread on our travesty of a Scottish Parliament.  Does anyone like it!!!!  or the waste of space that works in it.

Thanks MrsKP for posting the beautiful falls at Killin.  We will not be staying at the campsite near the river but will be tucked away in a forest site with all the midges about a mile or so from the village.

Thanks for more lovely pics DD.  I can't wait to get up there again.   :D

Carol - Thanks so much for the pic of Glenfinnan! I'm filling up here...

Its a pleasure Margi.   Beautiful place, quite magical.

We were there last summer and it was a fine warm summers day.  Nothing quite beats the Scottish Highlands when the sun is shining, stunning.......

Margi

Couldn't agree more - quite magical!

I love it too when the mist comes down on the mountains, or the horizontal rain or when it's snowing. Just love it basically. It's home and it's beautiful and there's air and space to breath.
