Hi all,
I`ve heard about the pea method in 4ft lengths of gutter, and wondered if anyone had tried this method on other veg`- say - Carrots,or parsnip, leek, etc, etc  ::),- what results were achieved please ?

                 Regards,
                      Mark.

Two Choices

Mark
Have had success with peas and also spring onions (kept in the guttering and picked directly from it in the greenhouse). This year planning to try pick again salad leaves and try for an early greenhouse crop.
Not sure if deep rooted veggies would work though. Hey, when in doubt give it a go, they all have two choices!
Regards

Don't`peas have long roots- like sweet peas, which are usually sown in deep pots?
I'm confused!

They do -they tend to go sideways in the guttering and with a bit of luck you can slide them all out in one or 2 goes.

So could you do this with sweet peas tto, assuming you wanted them in a row?
