All we had was a few sleet showers. Unpleasant while they lasted though.

Blimey :o

We had a couple of hail showers while me and youngest boy were at the lotty yesterday.  One minute it was loverly and sunny. I was weeding and son was digging up the pea shoots :o  we got soaked.

Good grief DP :o, will delay sowings another month at this rate! But it do look lovely in your photos :)

Goodness!! It does look lovely DP, but would look even lovlier if it was December and not April.  Beautiful day here but so cold and over the last few days we have had snow, sleet and frost.  Just hope the temperature rises soon. busy_lizzie

You have no idea how upset my two were when I showed them your pics DP.  Green eyed monsters!!  But you know what, you can keep it!  I have so much I need to get done, and number one daughter is hoping to plant her minipop sweetcorn in the garden tomorrow!  Good job I have a piece of spare fleece!

laurieuk. When we lived in Mayfield we had snow the last week of April 1971. My daughter was due to be born that day!!Luckily she never arrived until 7th May, so no problem getting to Hosp. Mind you it was nothing like you have at the moment. Cor wouldn't it be great to go sledging down the hill to my old property. ;D

Doris_Pinks

Oh no Laurie, you must be worried! My daffs are all flattened, now the snow has nearly all gone :'(  Think I will go out and pick them, better than them laying on the ground looking sorry for themselves.
Hope yours fared better, good luck with the show!

Just found the pictures I had put in have gone so trying again. These were taken yesterday after about 7 inches of snow fell. There are over 100 varieties of show daffs under the snow and our show is on Saturday.Fingers crossed. ???

busy_lizzie

Ah! That is such a shame Laurie. What a disappointment for you and your beautiful daffs. I hope something can be saved. This weather has been incredible, lets hope it makes up for it with a lovely summer.  :( busy_lizzie
