I've got a big pile of different shaped broken stones in my garden left over from dry stone walling. I don't want to throw them away and was thinking of using them for drainage in my container pots and also smaller pots; instead of using crocks etc... Would these be ok? Maybe 4/5 pieces of stone in the bottom of each pot?

???

Well i cant see why not i would be happy to use them ;D

They'd take up a lot of room?

Why not do an edging? Or a rockery!!

I've used them before in my larger containers...

Concrete backyard, so no chance of a rockery  ::)
Let there be sun!

hiya  :D
Tim- they are too small for a rockery, i have a large box full of them and the biggest piece of stone is about 7-8cm, others are much smaller with different shapes n edges to them, so thought they might make ideal crocks for larger pots? Am going to break others down even smaller with a hammer and use them up for smaller pots.  8)

Thanks
