All looks great. Did you make your own sweet potato slips? they look much bigger than the ones I have grown. The ones that I have potted up have come to a stand still. How big were they when you took them off the potato?

ani these are the ones I've grown myself. The slips were about 10cm long (not sure in inches, perhaps 4 inches?) when I twisted them off, I put them in water to root and then potted them. They really are ready to go out now so I'll be planting next week and covering with cloches. Last year I bought the slips through kitchen garden magazine, can't remember the company now, and they were small when they arrived in mid june and still needed potting up before planting out. Hopefully this year having a head start I'll get an even better crop, can't say I was dissapointed with last years though, it gave me enough tubers to have a few for eating and a few for keeping aside to sprout new slips for this year. In all I have about 15 potted up plants and the tubers are still sprouting more slips.
