I am considering buying one of these to grow against a fence. I have found P. Mohave Silver (are there others?) & was wondering if anyone had grown one & if so, how reliable/vigorous they are. Thanks.

bombproof and vigorous.  I prefer the cream variegation to the silver varieties but I cannot tell you its name.

Pruning is a sod to do without gauntlets.

Don't even think about one if you have, small children, anybody who plays ball games (as it will eat them all), or any sense left in your upper body as you will wish you hadn't every time you need to cut it back!  Even so I wouldn't be without mine! and it is not even variegated!

Don't worry, I have lots of experience with pyracanthas!! I want some thing evergreen to grow on a fence to let lots of clemati(!) grow through, was thinking maybe a pyracantha even though I have a huge one at the end of the garden & then wondered about a variegated one. As you don't see many about I wasn't sure how good a plant they would be. Thanks for your responses.
