Some of the leaves on my rhubarb were yellowing and soggy. Has anyone any ideas what this could be? I will be greatful for any suggestions.

If it is only a couple it shouldn't be a problem, many plants loose leaves through the growing season..

I've always got some of these from May onwards. It's normal so don't worry.

Thanks for the help. Apparently it's dying back a bit, so are others on the site. So I've pulled the bad sticks and hopefully it will right itself. far too early fo my rhubarb to die back ....I've lots more crumble to eat. ;D

Yes, up to a point, but last year I gave mine a rest after moving it. You shouldn't pick them after July because they get a bit tough and the concentration of oxalic acid rises. They need to rest before producing another crop the following year as well.

I find it helps to keep young stems coming if you pick from the outside first, as they are the oldest stems. So, you're always picking the oldest ones in a fresh state if you see what I mean  ???
