Every time i come back from the allotment my hands are dry and sore!  I hate wearing gloves and usually end up removing them so always come home with filthy hands...

Anyway - anyone got any recommendations for stopping the soreness and dryness?

Lots of hand cream.......straight after washing your hands when you get in and when you go to bed - use really generous amounts.  I find the Neutrogena range is very good when my hands are very dry but any cream will do, just use lots of it.

If you are taking your gloves off, it may be that you need to try out different pairs for different jobs.  I have a leather pair for the toughter jobs e.g. pruning the blackberries and weeding out horsetail roots and a knitted cotton pair for light work such as hoeing, which minimises friction against my hands.
