What goes flap in the night?

A bat in my bedroom!!
I had a rude awakening this morning at 2.45 am to find a bat flying over my head trapped in my room. He came in through the slightly open sash window but as the curtain was closed, he got in but couldn't get back out. I volunteered my husband to get out of bed to open the curtains and windows as I'm quite generous like that. Our bat flew out after a stroll on the beams and a final lap of the room.
I can only assume he flew in whilst chasing something. I wish i had of peeped a bit more from under my duvet, i have no idea what breed he was only that he was very, very cute.

Wow!  Have seen them in flight at dusk, but never up close and personal!

In that case i look forward to seeing 'Pip' and his friends soon!
They must all live near by as they have a flight path around our house that they do every night at dusk without fail.
I'm going to brave and have my window open tonight. I was baking last night as i daren't open it!

a bat once flew into a warehouse i was working in first time i had seen one in strong light strange really when i first saw it i thought it wasone of those rubber bats with the elastic attached to it that you get around haloween very unatural 'enjoyed the spectacle for a few minutes then he left
