Are these cucumbers too fat. they taste fine but looking at other Marketmore cucumbers they seem a bit dumpy.

They start off like this so i dont think im leaving them too long.

Mine are looking like that as well. The skin's a bit coarse but if I take it off they're fine.

;D Well I'm glad to hear that as mine are the same but I haven't tried them yet, ::)
so in theory they are good value for the price of the seeds ;D

Just check the fat end for ripe seeds..Usually this is the case if a cucumber goes bulbous at one end ..
I have had it with a couple of my marketmore this year .Down side is .these can be sharp and need scraping out ..UP side is if theses seeds are mature they can be saved to grow next year...I found the thin end up to the fat point  was ok no seeds had formed in here ... ..Cheers .Jim

My first time at Marketmore. Mine are like that - thought that was the norm :-[

Like Robert has written, I've found the skin coarse, too, but after peeling they're just fine.

Thanks for the tip about saving the seeds.

As long as it tastes fine who cares about the size/shape... unless you were entering a show... Raita is great and having been cubed who can tell what it looked like!
I only grow Crystal apple and Boothby's Blonde both white skinned..

If they are putting on too much weight, they are probably of an all-female variety!...........................
