I've been told that there are two kinds of grapes you an successfully grow in my climate by an allotment pro. I haven't seen them on hardly any of the allotments though (and we have over 100 plots).

Our alotment neigbors grow them though and we've been watching with interest. Today our neighbors gave us a bunch of their grapes which were delicious. The perfect mix of sweet with a little sour. I have saved the seeds but don't know if they will grow or if I have to do something special to them for next spring.

I've tried google to no avail. Anyone know about this?

I've no idea about seeds, but you can grow them from cuttings.

great! how do I take cuttings? I've never done that before. would it be possible to keep them at home and then plant them out in spring?

calendula

take 5 or 6 inch cuttings from the strongest leaders, use hormone rooting powder if you feel inclined, put into tall, deep pots of ordinary compost, cross fingers and toes, leave in a sheltered place or greenhouse, keep watered (not too much) and next spring you will know if they have 'taken'
