Pleased to report that there is still plenty of colour in the garden today, even though we are still suffering dought conditions here in the South East.  G x

Garlic chives - only grow them for the flowers!

Liriope Muscari - now thriving since I learnt to water it with rain/boiled water

Verbena Hybrida - found this hard to grow from seed but think the flower is worth it

Lychnis - a new plant for me this year

Lovely colours Georgie. I particularly like the colour of the Verbena.

Georgie

Thanks Lorna.  I love the colour of the Verbena too but I won't be growing it again.  It's not scented like it said on the packet and it's prone to powdery mildew too.   :(

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Georgie

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Leonnie.   :'(

I've just taken a peep at your gallery and you have some lovely pics there.  I particularly like that very dark Aquilegia, what vaiety is it please?

I'm not sure what variety it is G but I saved some seed which I might have laying about somewhere. If I can find them I'll send you some in return for the honesty seed you sent me. :)

Georgie

Oh lovely, thanks so much.   ;D

Georgie. I think I have slaughtered my passiflora. Last year it had loads of flowers. I cut it back and although it has grown again not one flower has appeared.

I thought they responded well to hard pruning, Lorna, so I don't know what could have gone wrong.  I've saved some seeds from mine this year, would you like some?

Yes please Georgie. It looked so good last year against the back of the garage. I am sure I took advice about pruning  so can't understand. Thanks,

Georgie

Right oh, I'll pop some in the post when thay have dried out.  :)

Your Morning Glories are stimply stunning Georgie.  I think my paler ones are very pretty, but that deep purple to almost black is just gorgeous.
