A couple of nights agoI was messing about on Auntie's "Nature" Message Board, and clicked on to "Webcams".   I had to download one of their application programmes which took a while, and it had to be installed then I could watch out for badgers between 6pm and 1am.

Nothing seen so far.

Tonight, as an experiment, I've left the webcam running, put it into the task bar, and logged on to this Site.   The webcam is still there, and every now and again, I can call up the webcam, look to see if there are badgers about, if not put it back again.

Still nothing seen so far.

During the day I can watch a bird table !!!

It's more exciting that completing self assessment tax returns !!!

Wow, whilst doing "review", had a quick look, and a badger came into view, then out of view, then back into view and.....sorry but I've got to dash.

Colin,

Wow that sounds really interesting! I'll have to give it a go. I used to fill in SA tax returns in my old job so I know how you feel - anything can be interesting after that!!!

Hi Colin
There is an old established badger set in the woods across the fields from us. I go down regularly in the winter, particularly after a heavy snowfall and leave goodies outside the entrance to the set. They love any type of nut! They really need feeding up during our winter months as cubs are generally born in February.
Tracking their movements in the snow is really interesting! But sadly haven't  bumped into one yet, and unlikely to unless I camp out down wind of them after midnight!! Will have to find a Scout or two to look after me in the dark!!  :o  ;D  ;)
Gardening on a wing and a prayer!!

As I type this there are eight Badgers feeding right in front of the camera.   Fantastic.
