The greenhouse is up & I'm beginning to make it feel like home!   :) Can't get over how much bigger & brighter it is than the old one.  The coldframe which came free with it looks good though I'm not quite sure what to do with it yet, I'm sure it will be useful.  Not bad for  £175.  Last weekend I shifted half a ton of gravel into it as well as paving slabs while OH was at football!

Last one.

First time I have seen a manufactured coldframe, usually they all are made with recycled stuff. Looking good though, looking good ;)

looks good!!

Just heard that a diy shop has put in a planning application walking distance from the house so i might find an odd bargin myself :-)

wahaj

wow.....they both look great! fantatic bargain eh!

i'm having someone come round to look at my greenhouse next sunday to get a quote to put it up, level the base etc with me. and i can't wait to get stuck in either.

i'd love a cold frame too...they're such lovely things. you can harden off all your winter/spring sown seedlings in there....sow hardy shrubs in there.....raise cuttings......even sow seeds. great stuff!

What a fine sight marymary, you'll get a lot of use out of those :D
The greenhouse sides are interesting - they seem to stick out more at the top than the bottom. I've not seen one like that before!

Can't wait to see it when it's full
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I have a manufactured coldframe which was similar to yours. I found it very difficult to get into when it was full as it is a bit high and wide. I solved the problem by splitting it in half longways and putting it up using my sheds as the back. It seems a bit more cosy for my tender stuff now.

Woops!  Maybe I've got it upside down!  ;)

Maybe it's just my photography skills.  :)

I think it's to do with the inside posts, if you look at it one way, the sides do seem to go up at an angle..or is it just my eyes  ;D ;D

Oooh, that's a fine looking greenhouse & cold frame too!  ;D  Can't wait to see it full of lovely seedlings ...

We had a cold frame donated by a v kind lottie neighbour, I'm sure it's an old rabbit hutch with a makeshift lid on, but it'll do us for this year!  :P

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

No! the sides are straight, it's an optical illusion caused by the bracing struts.
