Are you this far ahead of us all year Biscombe, or do you grow all year round?

Waaah! Wantsum!

Biscombe

Awwwww Didn´t wanna make you cry!! ( ;)) well got a new greenhouse and I´m far too over enthusiastic!!
Cold here though, check out the snowy mountains!
Front Of us

And behind!!!!

Two Choices

Wow! when did you sow them?  I only sowed mine a week ago and they are just through.  Are they on heated beds or is your new greenhouse like a sauna? TC

cleo

Methinks Biscombe doth taunt us wth tales of Spain ;D

Biscombe

Awwww go on humour me!!!!

Marymary

What a beautiful place to live.  Is your greenhouse heated?  Must be quite cold if you have snow.

Biscombe

We have a heater on a thermostat that does not allow the temperature to drop below 11-12 c but the daytime temperature can be up to 30!! strange with the snowy mountains in view!!!! I´ll let you all now when they are ready to eat!!

I am sitting here on a frosty morning and reading this. How's a girl supposed to cope! 30 degrees :o :o :o My conservatory doesnt get that high at the mo. even with the radiator on. Ah well, at least I can dream of summer...................

cj :)

ps. my tomato plants are about half an inch tall, so I'm getting there ;D ;D

Robert_Brenchley

I won't be starting mine for another month. Right now it looks extremely frosty outside.

I'm hanging on until mid-March here too, tho' aubergines and peppers are sown and up!

Biscombe

being a nosey parker here Supersprout, but what peppers and aubergines are you growing?

supersprout

;D lol@biscombe, so far:

Aubergine Slim Jim (seed swap)
Aubergine Tonda Bianca Sfumata di Rosa (Franchi)
Pepper (Bell) California Wonder (freebie from realseeds)
Pepper Joe's Long Cayenne (home saved, from cleo)
Pepper (Bell) Yolo Wonder (freebie from realseeds)

I have some more aubergines from recent swops to get in. I'm also dividing sowings into two or more batches so if one sowing comes to grief it's not the End of the World ::)

You lucky devil Biscombe, living in Spain. I see you can just go out and pick your own oranges as well-boohoo!

tricia

The sun shone all day yesterday here in the south-west and I had to open my small GH door as the temperature rose to 28C. It soon dropped to 15C though - which is when I propped the door open just a tad till the sun was behind the trees.

My aubergines (Fabina and Diamond) chillies (mild - shop bought saved seeds), tomatoes so far (Mucha Miel - thanks Biscombe :-*, T & M Brandywine, Lidl Harzfeuer, B & Q San Marzano 2 and T & M Supa Roma) and Padron Peppers - thanks again Biscombe :-* - are all doing fine and some already have true leaves appearing.

Also have Monarch celeriac in the 49er modules and a tray of beetroot almost ready to go out under fleece. Banana shallot seedlings look a bit woebegone - they are in the GH and I may start again with those.

But tomatoes in February??????? Nope - when I lived in Spain all the tomatoes were grown outdoors on the fincas - big, fat, juicy and full of flavour. That is what I am hoping for from the seeds you sent me Biscombe  ;) ;).

Tricia

Biscombe

Hey Tricia, thas a hot GH!!! You´ll love the padrons, big vigorous plants, but pick the peppers when small! Looking forward to growing Muchamiel, I think I´ll sow some today! (the problem is where to put them!!!)
I´ve sowed too much already! the GH is cramed with seedlings  ::)
If it makes you all feel better, It´s cold and grey here today! I doubt the thermomiter will be 30 today!!
Hey supersprout thanks soooo much for the seeds :-*
Happy sowin and growing you allXX

Biscombe

Sorry to bump this, but I ate a red, early girl tomato today!!! I´m soooooo happy! another ready in a few days!!

manicscousers

Biscombe
