Hi All,
I have some cauliflowers that should be forming heads around March/April. I am now noticing that new green leaves are forming after been dormant for quite a while. My inquiry is as follows. Do you put fertiliser around these just as you would spring cabbages this time of year?

Thanks,
Thomas

I hope so, I've just done it..I reckoned with all the wet weather, they would need a little something  :)

Would have thought a more potash job would be in order as it is a flower head you are forming, my Purple cape Cauli rarely get any help...

Dad is right, potash feed once they start a growth spurt - seaweed, comfrey or good old wood ash :)

I prefer to use a good sprinkle of Fish Bood and Bone. If it the first time you have grown them dont think they are not gowing to come as they form a small head and the first impression is, that is as big as they are gowing to get. Hope you have plenty of room in your freezer as they come huge

Affraid I would advice to use nitrogen the same as for spring cabbage at this time of year
