Dried Peas

This may seem a stupid question, but I was in Netto earlier today and they had Dried Marrowfat peas in. I just wondered if anyone knows if they are treated in some way to dry them, and if it is possible to grow them(being marrowfat peas)

Similar question for any other "dried" peas beans etc which are available in most supermarkets. Has anyone ever tried it?

we used them a long time ago, can't remember what happened, anyone else ?  ;D

I used leo dried pea last year they came up well and gave me a good harvest, the only thing was that they tasted like dried peas even when fresh

Chap on the next plot to me grew peas from supermarket dried peas last year, he said they were ok.

I'd guessed that you could grow from ordinary dried peas, but I was wondering if the fact that they were "marrowfat" meant they had been treated in some way, or is marrowfat a type of pea you can buy seed for?
