Just got back on line Carol so sorry to hear your sad news love sending you hugs and thinking of you Rosebud.

Mum was laid to rest today beside my Dad.  We had a lovely church service and somehow I managed to give the congregation a tribute to Mum.  I didn't stutter, cry or mumble and the congregation said they wanted to give me an ovation.  Mum would have enjoyed it all.  We even had a theatre organist playing popular tunes before the service started.  Apparently he had been good - well thats why I asked him but then Mum used to play the organ as well.  I now have 2 organs to dispose of!!  She had 15 floral tributes and over a  100 folk at the church and a retiring collection of £150 for charities.  A good send off for a super lady.  Thanks to all for your kind thoughts. :-* :-* :-*

Maybe with such prgan playing genes it's time you learned.  :)

I am glad today went so well for you all - it makes such a difference.

Carol

Yes, that is a good idea but the organs are 'capoot' really and only Mum knew how to get a tune from one of them.  We are talking big theatre organs with pedals not electric yamaha type organ.  She had a modern organ and she donated that to Charity few years back.  She preferred the old ones to play rather than the modern electric.  I think they will be taken to bits and the parts used by an organ builder.    :-* :-*

Deepest condolences, Carol. I've been away & just read of your news and loss....

"celebration of a life" just right!....that, and the lovely memories of a Grand Old Lady and Mum will, I 'm sure, stay with you forever although you'll miss her presence.

Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. I saw the post when she'd had a fall. Bless her. I'm glad she had a good day, well done for getting through the tribute. My OH tried it at his mums funeral and he couldn't get through it.
Lots of tlove to you at this difficult time, Em x
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Carol, I have just seen this thread and I would like to add my condolences to you and the family.  I am glad that everything went off all right on Friday; your Mum would have been very proud of you.  I am thinking of you and wish you strength to get through this very sad and difficult time.

Love and hugs from Pauline x
