Silly question...

How often do you water newly sown seeds in a propagator?

Am doing toms and chillis, but dont want to let them dry out. Have been mist spraying once a day to keep the top damp. Is this correct?

Next silly question....

If the temperature in the propagator varies quite considerably throughout the day and night, will this stop or delay germination? (propagator is in the shed fo info)
To plant today is to not plant tomorrow!

We propagate in the house and it sort of recycles with the condensation but will top them off again if we feel it needs it but mostly throught the capillary matting in the base..
;D

Yes - matting. Warm water. Best not to water from above.

Since you cover the tray with glass, or somesuch, you can see if it has condensation on it.

In the shed? Yes, unless it is a heated prop. They like a constant 70+F.
