It was the only option but it looks ghastly.

Can't afford the yoghurt treatment.

Please - before I'm sent packing!!

You can stain it a rather fetching brown with sulphate of iron. I discvered this when using said substance as a moss killer (1 heaped dessertspoon per gallon water) and accidentally splashing a patio.

You can get a type of varnish particulry for patio & paving. It costs £100 per tin but you will only need one. Not sure if it is just a varnish though or if there is any slight coloured ones available. It looks brilliant when on block-paving, considering some myself this summer to do ours.

You could get an awful lot of yoghurt for £100  ;)

Sand some green oak over it - did wonders ( not ) for my yard paving!
is it in the sale?

What effect are you trying to achieve Tim? Perhaps thinned green cuprinol would work?

yoghurt with a little water added and a light hand on the paint brush when you apply it to make it go further.

Cover the path with pots/earth etc and yoghurt the bits that show, moving the pots around as the yoghurt budget allows.

milk would work too, even if it is watered down. cost much less than yoghurt ;)

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Doris_Pinks

I was going say manure too! Not that I have tried it, just one of those things I read somewhere!

Some nice ones there - thanks for the thoughts! Whole milk & Organic??

PS Effect? As near Cotswold stone as possible.

If you tell everyone to keep off it with their muddy boots on it will be filthy in no time. Then on a wet day brush all the soil about and it should age nicely.
