Having just listened to most of Gardeners Question Time, I was really impressed with what he had to say about gardening techniques.

I don't really see the point of the royal family most of the time, but it's great to have such a sensible chap as heir to the throne.

Just wanted to share that with the group.

Out for lunch so missed the prog. But sometimes he says some very sensible things on some subjects.

Jeannine

Yep, have to agree, he is a good  caring gardener, well done to him
When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

Love Charlie boy, not too keen on all that Duchy of Cornwall grub in sainsburys though. HOW MUCH!!!
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

I have always respected his views on gardening-I wouldn`t buy stuff at ridiculous prices but that`s another matter

Tin Shed

But his biscuits make good Christmas presents for aunts!!!!!!

Not quite sure what to make of him really. But I suspect that the Camillagate tampon story SORT of made me err on the 'urrggh how vile' side of things :D

Forget all the stories the papers  were just trying to make peeps hate him, never worked for me i really like him a very gentle man  loves gardening. goood man. ;D

Thought this smiley looks a bit like him!

I do not do Monarchy really, but have always thought he seems an ok kinda guy, just because he is interested in sustainability. If he is ever King, we might be grateful for that!

When you say Charlie is a gardener - does he actually get down and root around in the soil, or does he just tell his gardener(s) to do that kind of stuff whilst pointing with his cane.
When Santa's about, just hoe-hoe-hoe

Marymary

As apparently he can't even squeeze his own toothpaste I suspect the latter.

Amazin

I think he's the epitome of whining, self pitying narcissism, and an absolute master of hypocrisy, to boot...

...and his biscuits are mediocre.

No, you're thinking of his ex wife. Although I never tried her biscuits.

Did you listen to the interview?

I just meant that I find him refreshing compared to the rest of his family. Personally if I had his amount of money, I'd sit around all day on the X-Box and throw a party every night. Probably wouldn't live all that long but it's be great fun.

Amazin

Well, we can agree to differ... so long as I'm invited to your party.

They say silence is agreement - so I reckon in a thread headed "I like Prince Charles" I am entitled to say "I do NOT like Prince Charles" without causing offence - well I hope so anyway :-\

Not a fan of royalty at all (Charles least of all) and just feel I must pin my colours to the mast so to speak - can't comment on his biscuits tho as I doubt I would want to add to his coffers - I'll bring my own biccies (Scottish shortbread?) to the party if I can come too, Ollie  ;)
Equality isn't everyone being the same, equality is recognising that being different is normal.

Same here; I don't see why the taxpayer should be expected to keep any of these peopole in luxury.
