HI Guys,

I have the following to plant up my 4th bed

Shallot - Prisma F1 Hybrid
Swede - Best of All
Swede - Invitation
Swede - Ruby
Onion - Ailsa Craig
Onion - Owa
Onion - Red Florence
Onion - Utah Jumbo

I have the bed ready and i am tempted to grow these from seed directly onto the site.

I was going to put into cells and pop into my mini greenhouse but i also need to move this in a couple of weeks i am not sure if its a good idea to leave in cells.

HELP!!

If i plant on site en situ what are my chances?

I only do onions from sets but I would still go down the cell route and same for swede to keep the flea beetle off until they are big enough to cope.. a bit of fleece would be enough for either if you had to empty out the mini greenhouse..

I am growing swede this year for the first time and am starting of in modules (well, i sprinkled some into a flower pot). i am planning to plant out into the brassica bed as i believe they are brassicas, should i treat them more as a root crop and put in my aliums bed as you you are cambourne?

just been out and popped some leek & swede into modules.

had a cup of tea and some apricot jam on some fresh bread feet up and diagnosis murder on the tv.

i need to find where i put the onion and then i will probably sow them as well, ok i will sow one tray as i think they will just take loads of room and i only have one tray left!

Been out to check and my lettuce seeds are up as are most of my peas and beans - yippie....
