Found a wilted, yellowing potato plant which had a blackened stem at and below the ground - boo hoo - Blackleg. Removed the plant and the messy remains of tuber. Now, got only one Accent left (the first one turned out to be a stone  ??? :o )

Lost one spud last year due to blackleg - different place on plot and different variety (last year, Edzell Blue succumbed which is a second early). The other spuds look healthy.
Next year, might have to consider growing spuds in the garden as I will have problems with rotation.

Having a look through the digi-photos I have taken. The victim of blackleg looked ok though slighty less vigorous than the other Accent spud on the 14th May. I took a picture on the 21st and there was a marked decline - plant wilting and half the size of its relative.
