Our local council are cutting down a 30 foot high conifer
tree just by our allotments in the next few weeks and will
be shredding it as it comes down.
If we got hold of this and sieved out the dust could we use it
on the floor of the run??

i wouldnt even bother seiving the dust out!  Just bag it up and bung it in!

if its free go for it and afterwards compost it. Mine are on shreded bills bank statements and leaflets very colourfull like fine conffetti. Should see them trying to take a dust bath in it. Its everywhere.

we get it delivered regulary, but as its fresh i would not but it on plants as its so high in nitrogen when its fresh.....

... I am using it for paths etc and i am going to put some into the empty 1/2 of my compost bin to rot down for using as mulsh next feb/march.

I presume as you have posted this in the kept animal section you are going to be using this in cages etc in which case when its finished with you should just be able to stick it in the compost bin to rot down :-)
