As you all know, I build gardens at shows. This year we are again going to build a show garden at the NEC Birminham for gardeners world live. We have from the 2nd of june to the 11th to completly construct a garden from scratch so it can be a bit manic.

If any of you that are fit and able would like to give us a hand for a day or so we would welcome the help. There ain't no wages and we have not got the money for accomodation, so you would have to live reasonably close. (I sleep in tent for 3 weeks.)

It is a good experience and you might even get to spot or speak to one of the celebs. Some of our previous helpers use the experience as part of their  RHS coursework. Then naturally there will be a few free tickets for the show when it is open, and the chance to see your work on the telly.

There is not a lot of digging as it is really like building a film set, Its all make-believe. But there is a load of fiddly things like making the plants look good, painting the bits that show etc.  P.M. me if you are interested, but I must warn you we cannot carry any passengers.

I might be interested, although not as strong and fir as I used to be, or should be, I helped at Chelsea one year when I worked at Merrist Wood Agricultural College - I was in catering, and provided the sea-salt for their Fisherman's garden!

Was great fun, and I recommend it to anyone who can go along and help

You don't have to be strong, I do all the donkey work. I also have just had a thought that this invitation might seem a bit dodgy as you only know me in the cyber world. If you feel that this  is like that, your contact will be the designer who you will be able to phone first and she will put your mind at rest.

i am absolutely gutted I cannot do it - and my sisters are in Brum too! Got horrible tedious course to attend. Well, I was quite keen on the course, but now I want to this!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.
