I really envy you these. I have bought Jersey Royals this year from Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrisons, M&S and yesterday Asda.

I don't know about anyone else but I haven't yet found any which taste like Jersey Royals should taste. I am so hoping that the earlies I am growing are going to be good.

They look mouthwateringly good. :P :P

Apparently they mulch them with loads of seaweed in Jersey, that's what makes them special.  We haven't had any for a couple of years, we usually buy our seed potatoes at the potato fair, but the JRs have been sold out by the time we get there, and by that time (end January) the shops and catalogues seemed to be sold out too.  :( :(

My taties are still very small so I have to wait for at least several weeks. :D

Cheeky Cornykev!!!! No cos I'm originally a Yorkshire girl, so roast beef and yorkshire puds are more my thing, but must admit I'm getting a taste for leekes!!  ;)

Well done, I am looking forward to our potatoes.
The only thing we have had out of the plot is radish!

They were selling about a third of that amount for £4.95 a punnet in Fortnum and Mason on Saturday.  Needless to say I walked straight past them.  I hope yours tasted as good as they look.   ;D
