I have just logged on and there was 4 pages of unread threads. Made my kids an ice cream and now there are none! They have all disappeared. This is a persistant problem. This was on my last thread of PC problems.

Now - for the past week or so - once on the site I cant return to the homepage without leaving the site first. When I click on homepage it brings me to the list of topics - not the front page listing recent threads. This is as well as disappearing threads.

Hi,

The front page is being phased out - a new one shall be along very soon .....

You can return to it for the time being by going to

http://www.allotments4all.co.uk

With nothing on the end.

As to your recent thread not being there, I am at a loss to explain it - could it be that you view the topics, close the website, and then return - hence no threads between visits?

Try leaving the list of topics open, and right clicking on them to open each in a new window / tab in turn (if that makes sense).

Let me know how you get on.

Dan, would it be possible to have the front page back as it was, until the new one comes along?

It's quite disorientating to have the whole huge forum to scroll through and no home page. It may be going out of style ???, but it's still a really useful navigation base (and that's speaking as someone pretty familiar with A4A; I'd guess it's even worse for newcomers).

You can go back to the home page by ckicking on the little down pointer next to the back arrow on your browser.  That will display the pages you have visited, and you can go back from there.

A new 'lighter' version of the front page will be making an appearance shortly - I'm having a few coding troubles with it!

The old version is still there, but you will like the new one more (probably!)
